To transfer data from an old Android phone to a new one:
Backup the data on the old phone to the cloud Google Drive before making the switch to the new phone.

Google automatically backs up contacts, call logs, texts, and settings to Drive.
All that data will be restored to the new phone just by logging in with your Google account during initial configuration.

How to transfer photos and videos to your new Android phone
Use Google Photos for backing up photos and videos to restore them later on the new phone using the cloud.
As the data is backed up to a cloud, it will be possible to access photos and videos from the new phone as well as on the web.

To export just the contacts, select Contacts/Plus/Parameters
then Import/Export contacts
Contacts are exported in a .VCF format only
